Sabur's Driving School is operated by Jimmy, a DVSA-approved driving instructor based in Bolton, Greater Manchester. We are committed to protecting your personal data and complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

When you use our website or book a lesson, we may collect:

  • Postcode (from enquiry forms)
  • Preferred lesson days and times
  • Driving experience level
  • Lesson booking details (date, time, lesson type)

We do not collect or store any payment card details. Deposits are processed via Monzo's secure payment platform.

3. Why We Collect It

We use your data to:

  • Process and manage your lesson bookings
  • Send booking confirmation emails
  • Contact you about your lessons or enquiries
  • Maintain records of lessons completed
  • Identify returning clients (to waive deposit requirements)

The legal basis for processing your data is contractual necessity — we need this information to provide you with driving lessons.

4. How We Store Your Data

  • Your data is stored securely in Supabase, a cloud database hosted in the EU (Ireland).
  • Emails are sent via Resend, a secure transactional email provider.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes.
  • Access to your data is restricted to the instructor only.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your personal data for up to 6 years from the date of your last lesson or enquiry, in line with standard UK business record-keeping requirements. After this period, your data will be securely deleted.

6. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct any inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request that we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Objection — object to us processing your data in certain circumstances
  • Portability — request your data in a portable format
